The Fellowship includes a comprehensive scope of direct observational and learning experiences. Students oncology nursing within the context of a pediatric hospital setting. They will learn about the roles and responsibilities of a pediatric oncology nurse and discover possible career opportunities.

The Fellowship Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is designed to help stimulate career interest and foster the professional development of potential pediatric oncology nurses. The purpose of the Fellowship is to provide aspiring nurses with comprehensive clinical exposure to oncology nursing and to “best practices” in compassionate care. This enriching experience will also involve classroom time, including weekly “Lunch and Learn” educational sessions. Fellows will be provided the opportunity to participate in shadow days observing oncology related nursing roles across the full continuum of cancer care.
